PHP Web Programmer at Kelby Media Group

The PHP Web Programmer will join the web team, which handles all of the company’s in-house development needs. We are a team of innovative and dedicated developers. This position will work with all departments of the business; graphic design, marketing, production and video. This is an all-encompassing position that requires strengths in a wide range of web development areas, but with a strong focus on PHP development.

As part of the web team, you will work on various aspects of projects derived from the Kelby Media Group properties (www.kelbymediagroup.com). You will be expected to create, edit, modify, test and debug web sites and applications.

Required

3+ years of PHP + MySQL development experience
Experience working in a LAMP environment
Familiarity with object-oriented programming style
Strong core PHP development experience, (no framework junkies)
Front-end markup experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Understanding and awareness of web application security
Ability to work with and modify existing code
Ability to develop applications from scratch
Ability to work successfully in a team environment
Ability to understand and work with people in a creative environment
Strong attention to detail

Experience with WordPress
Experience with web video production and delivery
Strong communication skills
Self-motivated and excellent problem solver
